The South Coast of Western Australia is one of the most beautifully rugged and remote places you will ever explore. Battered by the extreme weather of the Southern Ocean, its coastline is wild and untamed. This breathtaking scene can be found in the D’Entrecasteaux National Park amidst sand dunes hundreds of metres high, covered in coastal heath. In the next breath, you can pass through valleys of grass trees and onto swampy plains where you will find Karri trees surging up into the sky.
When I discovered this composition, it brought my imagination afire with the thought of three people waiting at a shoreline, for someone who had gone beyond their reach. Such was the devotion of these three, they continued in their vigil, to this day, awaiting their loved one's return.
