Easily the most photographed former jetty in all of Western Australia. People come from all over the world for Hamelin Bay's pristine sand, turquoise waters, the regions incredible beach fishing, the bay's stingrays, and for the old logging jetty (of course)! One of the more interesting points of history for the region is that there used to be a tyrolean traverse between Hamelin Island and the mainland which was used to supply the workers that lived on the island.
I love the last of the days sun-rays peeking through the clouds on the horizon, and the support posts of the old jetty still peeking out above the waterline in the distance.
