The most popular former jetty in all of Western Australia. People come from all over the world for Hamelin Bay's pristine sand, turquoise waters, the regions incredible beach fishing, the bay's stingrays, and for the old logging jetty (of course)! One of the more interesting points of history for the region is that there used to be a tyrolean traverse between Hamelin Island and the mainland, used to supply the workers who lived on the island.
I love the simultaneous stillness and movement in this image: the way the light reflects off the wet, glistening sand, and the build-up of the ocean as it prepares to move back up the beach.
