The Stirling Ranges are a truly remarkable sight in an otherwise undeniably flat countryside. Jutting out of the landscape and rising to over 900m at its highest point (from almost sea level), Bluff Knoll provides one of the most accessible and arguably most dramatic views of the range.
Looking out towards the Eastern end of the ridgeline towards Isongerup peak, you begin to appreciate the gravity of the terrain. Covered in clouds and surrounded by farmland, it's not hard to see why the Stirling Ranges are among the most popular hiking destinations in Western Australia.
