This artwork speaks to the powerful contrasts within Karijini that makes it gorges so incredible. During the wet season the water flowing through Hancock Gorge is unrecognisable. It's so powerful that this normally gentle and picturesque flow has crushed these people-sized boulders into the gorge walls at this choke point from higher up the gorge. Much like the contrast with the arid landscape above, this image speaks to the extremities experienced within the stunning landscape.
