Gokyo's main lake, (Dudh Pokhari) and one of the most incredible lakes I've been lucky enough to see. It's glacial blue waters are sacred to the local Sherpa people and it's not hard to understand why. It’s milky texture is where it gets its name from and is a truly stunning backdrop when you arrive in town. With Yak’s grazing wild and surrounded by snow capped peaks and a glacier running down the valley (behind the photo!), it’s hard to image a more picturesque place to spend time.
